About Us
Founded in 2009, University Business Consulting Club (UBCC) is a non-profit organization registered with the Hong Kong Government. Since its establishment, UBCC has always kept in mind the principle of "Doing reliable things, becoming reliable people"(as emphasized by the founder Mr.David Hong, current JPMorgan Chase Co Vice President ).
Our Aim
We have always been committed to providing a platform for students to practice professional knowledge and expand business vision. UBCC offers our members specialized training in macroeconomics, corporate strategies and financial markets, in-depth analysis and research, keeping pace with the development of the times, as well as establishing and cultivating a solid comparative advantage.

How to become our members ?
- Probationary Member Selection: 80-90 probationary members will be selected after the sign up ends. We will mainly conduct group project on some business cases to select hard-working and passionate members.
- Weekly Training: We will conduct weekly training for our probationary members (sem1) and formal members (sem2) to discuss financial industry, technical skills and soft skills. At the same time, case competitions training, career talks and other training will be conducted regularly.
- Formal Member Selection: 40-50 formal members will be selected at the end of sem1 based on the final case presentation. After the training for 1 semester, we expect the formal members to have improvements in competences and analysis skills.

August 25th – 29th 2023| UBCC 2023 Orientation Camp
Organizing introductive case competition to help cultivate the sense of case study among business students, leading freshmen to explore the HKU campus and the HK city, providing a platform for students to meet new friends and better get used to the new environment.

Late January 2024| Career Talks
Inviting alumni from different career paths in financial industry to share their career and campus experience, giving advice to students who are preparing for their careers, providing a good networking platform.
Expected career paths including investment banking division, marketing, quantitative finance, private banking, accounting, consulting and venture capital, with an approximate total number of 9 guests and evenly divided into 3 Talks.
Audience: all club members and other HKU students who are interested
