HKU-SaSa Joint University Case Competition 2023

HKU Business School collaborates with Sa Sa International Holdings Limited to organize the HKU-SaSa Joint University Case Competition 2023 in April 2023. This competition is the annual signature event of HKU International Case Society (HICS), a student-run organization supported by the School which aims to provide a platform for students to hone their case cracking, analytical and presentation skills.

Apart from HICS members from HKU Business School, undergraduate students from The City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology will also take part in this competition to compete for the Championship.

The competition comprises the Preliminary Round and Grand Final Round.

The Preliminary Round takes place in the morning of April 16, 2023. 16 teams will compete in 4 divisions. Each division consists of teams from 4 different universities. The best team from each division will enter the Grand Final Round.

The Grand Final Round takes place in the afternoon of April 16, 2023. The judging panel, consists of senior corporate management from SaSa and teachers from participating universities, will select the winning teams (Champion, 1^st Runner-up and 2^nd Runner-up) among the four finalists. Best Presenter will also be identified. The Champion and Best Presenter will be offered internship opportunities in SaSa from June to August 2023.

Before the competition, an Industry Talk will be conducted by SaSa where students will be able to gain better insight into the business of SaSa as well as the retail industry before the case cracking.
