HKU-NWS Joint University Case Competition 2021

HKU Business School collaborates with NWS Holdings Limited to organize the HKU-NWS Joint University Case Competition 2021 in April 2021. This competition is the annual signature event of HKU International Case Society (HICS), a student-run organization supported by the School which aims to provide a platform for students to hone their case cracking, analytical and presentation skills.

Apart from HICS members from HKU Business School, undergraduate students from City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology will also take part in this competition to compete for the Championship.

The competition comprises the Preliminary Round and Grand Final Round.

The Preliminary Round takes place in the morning of April 11, 2021. 16 teams will compete in 4 divisions. Each division consists of teams from 4 different universities. The best team from each division will enter the Grand Final Round.

The Grand Final Round takes place in the afternoon of April 11, 2021. The judging panel, consists of senior corporate management from NWS and teachers from participating universities, will select the winning teams (Champion, 1^st Runner-up and 2^nd Runner-up) among the four finalists. Best Presenter will also be identified. The Champion will be offered internship opportunities in NWS from June to August 2021.

Before the competition, an Industry Talk will be conducted by NWS where students will be able to gain better insight into specific business of NWS as well as the industry before the case cracking.
