Highlights of the Competition
Organised by L’Oréal (http://www.loreal.com/), L’Oréal Brandstorm 2019 is an international innovation competition to offer students a pedagogical and professional experience and the opportunity to innovate within the beauty industry. With an aims to enhance students' entrepreneurial skills, creativity skills, and perception of the L'ORÉAL business, over 34,000 students from 65 countries have participated in the Competition in the past 27 years.
The Case and a useful resource pack will be available to participants once the registration process on the platform is success.
A national winning team selected from Hong Kong will be invited to join the World Finals held in Paris in May 2019.
Stages of the Competition
The competition consists of 4 stages:
Stage 1: Online registration
Stage 2: National Pre-Selection (submission of pitch)
Stage 3: National Selection (presentation)
Stage 4: World Finals in Paris from May 22 - 24, 2019 (flight tickets and accommodation will be subsidized by L’Oréal)

Prizes
3-month Intrapreneurship programme - opportunity to work at Station F as L’Oréal employees
This award gives the opportunity for the winners to work on developing their Brandstorm project into a feasible business model. L’Oréal has the rights of all the intellectual property built by the students. L’Oréal will assign mentors and coaches to guide students throughout the programme. The participants of the program will be paid according to L’Oréal payroll standards.
Participants will also be recruited for internship positions within the L'Oreal Group.

- Please note that student participants of this Competition will be responsible for their own safety while outside Hong Kong (provided that the teams enter the World Finals in Paris). Students must pay for all expenses related to the trip and arrange for their own insurance which covers the whole period of stay in Paris. Our Faculty will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in this competition.
- Since the World Finals trip to Paris takes place in May 2019, there might be a possibility that it has time clash with final examinations. If this is the case, please seek consent from the course instructors to see if supplementary examinations can be arranged. Students need to take full responsibility while dealing with the examination arrangements and the Faculty shall not be held liable for any consequences arise.
- The data collected through the online application is solely administered by the organizers. The Faculty shall not be held liable in the case that disputes, loss or any other situations arise.
