HSBC Life Insurance Innovation Competition is calling for applications.
About the Competition
With the rising demand for the design of personalized insurance products and the wide use of innovative technologies, the insurance industry will have to experience a digital transformation, and such revolution will be able to provide more tailored products, more interactive and personalized user experience to their customers for better services. HSBC Life Insurance Innovation Competition aims to invite innovative insurance ideas to meet the evolving needs of customers as well as HSBC Life.
Participating team, working in teams of 3 – 5, should come up with innovative life insurance products/services that help insurers better serve people and meet the evolving needs of customers in the new age, and to propose innovative ideas on how HSBC Life can enhance their product innovation, improve on product/process development cycle and ultimately increasing revenue and enriching customer satisfaction.Students may enter the competition under one of the two streams, (1) Innovation or (2) InsurTech and submit proposal on the proposed concept and implementation plan.
Shortlisted teams will be invited to submit a presentation for pitching. Details on the presentation requirements will be announced in November 2019.
Awards and Prizes (For each Stream)
1. Gold - HK$25,000; Silver - HK$15,000; Bronze - HK$10,000; Merit – HK$5,000
2. Gold - HSBC Life internship opportunities; Silver & Bronze - Fast-track internship application

· Full-time undergraduates are welcome to join
Training workshops are available for students to acquire practical knowledge in applying Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Strategic Business Cases into Life Insurance.
