About WorldQuant
WorldQuant (www.worldquant.com) is a quantitative asset management firm founded in 2007 and currently has over 500 employees globally. It develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a variety of asset classes in global markets, utilizing a proprietary research platform and risk management process.
About WorldQuant Challenge
The WorldQuant Challenge is a global alpha building competition in which qualified candidates test their skills building predictive financial models (Alphas) using WebSim, WorldQuant’s web-based simulation platform. Candidates accumulate scores by building alphas in order to strive to reach Bronze, Silver and Gold status, and those who can achieve Silver and Gold status will be considered for the Research Consultant role with WorldQuant.
2017 Spring Alphathon
Besides its regular alpha building competition, every year WorldQuant Challenge also runs a few seasonal accelerated competitions which is called Alphathon, and its 2017 Spring Alphathon is about to start from 1st March 2017. In addition to the chance to be WorldQuant’s signed consultants, Alphathon award winners will receive extra incentives including possible one-time stipends up to USD2500 at WorldQuant’s discretion, as well as opportunities to become a Research Intern in WorldQuant’s Beijing office for 4 weeks to 1 year (internship length depends on shortlisted candidate’s availability).
