About PwC Hackaday 2017
This is a cybersecurity competition as organized by PwC Hong Kong Cybersecurity and Privacy Team for undergraduate students from universities in Hong Kong. This competition aims at assessing the skills and knowledge of contestants, increasing the competency level of Hong Kong’s new talents and raising cybersecurity awareness among Hong Kong’s youth. Undergraduate students who are interested in CyberSecruity are welcome to join this competition.

Competition Requirements and Format
- Participants must be full-time undergraduate university students in Hong Kong at the time of registration\
- Team format: Each team must consist of a maximum of 4 members
- Teams are not permitted to collaborate during the competition
- The competition will test the skills and knowledge of teams under 3 hacking categories:
- Network: This challenge tests participating teams' skills and knowledge on network service discovery, vulnerability assessment and exploitation, against common network protocols and infrastructure architecture.
- Web: This challenge tests participating teams' ability to analyse and exploit poor configuration and vulnerabilities on different web services and program logic.
- Binary: This challenge tests participating teams' knowledge on binary analysis, analytical thought process and the ability to think out of the box.
- Time limit: 6 hours
- Participants must use their personal computer devices
