PricewaterhouseCoopers is calling for applications for their PwC Data-lympics 2019 (https://www.pwchk.com/data-lympics-2019).

About PwC Data-lympics 2019
PwC Data-lympics, a two-day event from January 28 – 29, 2019, aims to promote a culture of innovation, encourage student to gain a hands-on introduction to analytics and groom future talent in data analytics field.

Each team which contains 2 – 4 students will demonstrate how data & analytics is used to address business challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to work on one of the topics as provided by PwC, explore, collaborate, discover and share insights/ideas/experiences about large, rich, and complex datasets. In the final presentation, 10 shortlisted teams will give a 10-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session to compete for the Championship.

Apart from the Competition, students will also have the opportunity to join supporting activities ranging from educational workshops to networking opportunities with peers and industry professionals.

Awards and Prizes
Champion – HK$20,000
1st Runner-Up – HK$12,000
2nd Runner-Up – HK$5,000

Top 3 winning teams will be awarded with two-month internship or one-year placement programme*

Eligibility

  • Aged 18 or above
  • Undergraduate / postgraduate students from all disciplines
  • Interested in data science. No experience required.
