About the Competition
Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited (Melco), a well-established hospitality and entertainment business, is organizing the Melco Student Challenge 2019 to embrace new ideas on how to implement new sustainable trends in the hospitality industry and entertainment industry and reimagine guest and employee experiences.

A team comprises of 2 – 5 members should submit online application with a guest-centric and operational efficiency solutions based on one of the following themes:

Sustainable and Environmental Innovation
Awareness and Influence
Social Impact and Guest Experiences

During the Online Voting Phase in January 2020, jury members will select the top 15 teams based on the selection criteria, including Value-Added/Relevance (40%), Feasibility (15%), Originality (15%) and Technical Knowledge (30%).

Top 15 teams will be entering the 2-week Mentoring Phase in February 2020. Teams will have the opportunities to fine-tune the proposal and prototype, if applicable, with the help and inputs from Melco and Amazon Web Services (AWS) mentors.

After another round of Online Voting Phase in late February 2020, top 3 teams will be selected and invited to pitch their solutions (5-minute pitch in English plus 3-minute Q&A) and showcase the prototype to the judging panel during The Grand Finale on March 27, 2020.

Students who are currently enrolled in higher education in an APAC country, within 3 years of your graduation date from a higher education institution and residing in APAC are welcome to join
