To: All UG students,
The International Monetary Fund’s African Department (AFR), Asia and Pacific Department (APD), Institute for Capacity Development (ICD), and Middle East and Central Asia Department (MCD), in collaboration with the IMF Office of Innovation and Change (OIC), is inviting economics students to join the “IMF 2022 Fund Challenge”.
This Challenge aims to foster the understanding of basic macroeconomic analysis, promote familiarity with the work of the Fund, and nurture dialog with the youth. Finalist teams will present virtually at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) annual meetings in October 2022, with an opportunity to meet policy makers, academics, and civil society organizations from around the world.
Interested students should form a team of 2 and invite a faculty member as their “sponsoring professor” for the Challenge. The team leader should submit the
online application form by 2 June 2022 Thursday (11:59 HKT). Each team member is required to register and complete the IMF Institute for Capacity Development’s online Macroeconomic Diagnostics course
via edX between June 6 and September 2.
The School will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in this Challenge, including the costs of the verified certificate.
The data collected through the online registration is solely administered by the organizer. The School shall not be held liable in the case that disputes, loss, or any other situations arise.
