HKSI Institute Case Competition 2027

To all UG Students,

HKSI Institute Case Competition 2027 is now calling for applications.

The theme of this year’s competition is “Digital Transformation in Financial Services”. The competition aims to provide opportunity for students to tackle business challenges and receive coaching from experienced industry professionals. Interested students may click here to apply as a team of 3-4 members or apply individually and be assigned into teams by the organiser. Applications will be accepted until October 13, 2026 (Tuesday). 

Please note that all participants are required to register as Student Members of HKSI Institute before the abovementioned deadline in order to take part in the competition. A special rate of HK$100 per membership application will be charged by the HKSI Institute (responsible by students).

Case Competition Now Open for Student Applications

The HKSI Institute Case Competition 2027 offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience through an action learning project, connect with financial services professionals, and compete for attractive cash prizes and placement opportunities.

Who can Join?

HKSI Institute Student Members who are full-time undergraduates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from eligible Higher Education Institutions.

Programme Structure - 3 Rounds of Competition

Theme: Digital Transformation in Financial Services

1. Coaching Period (2 months, from 23 November 2026 – 20 January 2027): All participants to complete a project with the Project Sponsor

2. Semi-final Round (1 month, from 28 January 2027 – 1 March 2027): Semi-finalists to prepare a case study

3. Final Round (24 March 2027): Finalists to attend an in-person Panel Interview

3 Simple Steps to Complete Your Case Competition Application

Step 1: Form a team of 3-4 Students who are full-time undergraduate students from eligible Higher Education Institutions. If you prefer to apply individually, we will help match you with a team.

Step 2:  All participants must be HKSI Institute Student Members. If you are not yet a member, you can enjoy a special membership fee of HKD100 (originally HKD300). Simply select "Case Competition" under "Source of Information" when applying. Before submitting your application, please review the membership application guidelines (Video / Deck) to ensure all required documents are provided.

Step 3: Team Leader (or individual applicant) submit the Case Competition Application FormHERE before 13 October 2026
