Highlights of the Competition

Hack.Asia is a 36-hour online hackathon which aims to inspire the next generation of innovators and business leaders. The Hackathon invites students and startups to design and develop technology-driven solutions to address current challenges faced by market-leading businesses in the region, including Accenture, Dairy Farm, Gammon, Hactl, Hongkong Land, Microsoft & Jardine Restaurant Group, Jardine International Motors, Jones Lang LaSalle and Mandarin Oriental.
 

Three pre-events will be held online starting from June 11, 2020 to provide you with a deeper understanding of different problem statements, show how you can leverage Microsoft Azure to build your solution, help you connect with other potential attendees and find teammates to hack one of the 9 challenges.


Individual applicant or team comprises of 2 – 5 members should submit online application with 2 – 3 slides of your solution to selected challenge. Shortlisted applicants/teams will be invited to join the Hackathon from July 6 – 8, 2020.

Challenge Winner – Students & Innovators: HK$20,000 cash prize & Internship opportunities for each team member with the sponsor

Challenge Winner – Startups: Opportunities to advance a Proof of Concept with the sponsor

Grand Prize Winner : HK$50,000 cash prize

Bonus Prize by HSBC: A potential opportunity to perform a Proof of Concept with HSBC


How to join

  • Join one of the challenges HERE as individual participant or as a team of 2 – 5 members
  • Submit 2 – 3 presentation slides describing your solution, specifically on how it targets the problem statement and an optional 60-second video by June 20, 2020 (Saturday)
