DB-SNU Global Startup Challenge 2021
Seoul National University (SNU) Business School is calling for applications for the DB-SNU Global Startup Challenge 2021.
About the Competition
DB-SNU Global Startup Challenge 2021 is a start-up competition for college students from top universities of Asian countries. It was designed to help realize the dreams and ideals of talented Asian college students who will lead the future, and lay the foundation for fostering higher ideals. This competition is hosted by both the DB Group, a large South Korean company focused on innovative green technology and financial services, and Seoul National University, the number one ranked higher education institution in Korea.
The theme of the competition is focused on startup businesses. Participating teams, comprise of 1 – 3 student(s), are required to submit a proposal of startup idea for an innovative and creative new product or service by May 14. 35 shortlisted teams are required to submit a presentation video by June 11 and join the Round 2 Zoom meeting for the judges Q&A session in late June. Top 14 teams for Final Round will be announced in early July. Finalist teams will join the Final round Zoom meeting for another round of judges Q&A session in mid of July.
The winning team will have the opportunity to visit the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which will be held from January 5 – 8, 2022.

How to join
- Checkout the guideline for Round 1 HERE and submit the application according to the guidelines as individual applicant or team of 2 – 3 members by May 14, 2021
- Undergraduate students with startup ideas, who are preliminary founders dreaming of starting a business, or are founders operating for less than 3 years are eligible to join

Disclaimer:
1) Please note that student participants of this Competition will be responsible for their own safety while outside Hong Kong (provided that the team win the 1st Place) and should arrange sufficient insurance coverage for the overseas trip. Students shall bear the consequences of their decisions for the overseas trip.
2) Students must pay all expenses related to the trip. Our School will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in this competition plus the overseas trip.
