Cyberport Greater Bay Area Young Entrepreneurship Programme (GBA YEP) 2020 is calling for applications now.

 

Supported by Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF) Cross-Boundary Programme, the Cyberport Greater Bay Area Young Entrepreneurship Programme brings young talents from Hong Kong, Macau and cities in Guangdong including Greater Bay Area together to develop digital tech innovations. The programme aims to deepen participants’ experience of launching ideas in a multicultural environment and to facilitate business soft-landing and development in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and overseas.

 

The Cyberport GBA YEP 2020 is divided into two stages of application. Applicants should submit individual programme applications at the first stage. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to join the entrepreneurship boot camp (Language: Putonghua) to facilitate team formation and equip them with entrepreneurship knowledge and start-up experiences. This also enable participants to understand the business environment, opportunities and challenges of high potential or cluster-focused areas in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and overseas markets. After the boot camp, each project leaded by team shall submit one CCMF application with the project details in the second stage by February 22, 2021. Shortlisted teams will be invited for the presentation session in mid of March 2021.

 

HK$100,000 will be granted to each successful application for project implementation within six months. Submission of interim and final reports are required in order to disburse the grant in different stages.

How to join

  • Apply HERE by December 4, 2020
  • Applicants must be individual between the ages of 18 and 30 (inclusive) upon the Programme application deadline
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have graduated within three years from a registered post-secondary education institution in Hong Kong, Macau or Guangdong Province
  • Only successful applicants in the first stage may be invited to join the CCMF Cross-Boundary Entrepreneurship Training and submit CCMF application in the second stage.
