ACCA Hong Kong Business Competition 2016

The ACCA Hong Kong Business Competition 2016 is now calling for applications.

This is a valuable opportunity for students to showcase business talents, sharpen social awareness, and enhance analytical and communication skills at a holistic level. Last year, the Competition attracted overwhelming participation from 1,600 students and received considerable media attention.

By partnering with HKCSS-HSBC Social Enterprise Business Centre for the 4^th year, the topic of this year is “Youth Catalysts in Driving Social Enterprise Excellence”. Each team (consisting of 3 or 4 accounting or business students from the same institute) is required to pick one out of the three existing social enterprises as case study, and develop a proposal to optimise their operations. Among all the contesting teams, 20 teams shall be shortlisted while the top 7 teams from each category will advance to the Final Competition where they will present their business proposals in front of a panel of judges.

Highlights of the 2016 Competition

Marking its 10^th anniversary this year, the ACCA Hong Kong Business Competition has undergone a significant revamp that the degree and sub-degree categories have been combined into ONE competition. The Competition timeline will be expanded across two semesters to allow students to undertake research in greater depth with ACCA’s support and resources all the way to the Final Competition.
ACCA has lined up its members as coaches for the students advancing to the Top 20 Teams. Students will be exposed to precious opportunities to network with their coaches. They will also be invited to attend workshops to enhance business and accounting knowledge as well as presentation skills.
