2025 International Quant Championship by WorldQuant BRAIN

The 2025 International Quant Championship (IQC 2025) host by WorldQuant BRAIN is now open for applications.
 
About the Competition
The 2025 International Quant Championship is a global and team-based quantitative finance modelling competition running from March to September 2025. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their quantitative skills at the intersection of data and the financial markets, and accumulate points by developing and back testing Alphas on the simulation platform WorldQuant BRAIN. The competition comprises of 3 stages:
 

  • Stage 1 University Round from March 18 to May 19 (Virtual)
  • Stage 2 National/Regional Round from May 27 to mid-July (Virtual/in-person)
  • Stage 3 Global finals in September (In-person)

Winning teams will receive cash prizes, and top performers may be considered for BRAIN research consultant, internship or full-time employment opportunities at WorldQuant. The winning national and regional teams may also be invited to compete in the global finals expected to be held in Singapore in September 2025.
 
Application
Interested students should apply individually or form into teams with a maximum of 4 members. The team may consist of current students, faculty, or alumni of the same university. Each participant should register at https://platform.worldquantbrain.com/sign-up/IQC2025S1 and create the team list by May 19, 2025.

Please note that student participants of this competition will be responsible for their own safety while traveling outside of Hong Kong (provided that the students can be able to advance to the National/Regional round or Global final) and should arrange sufficient insurance coverage for the overseas trip(s). Students shall bear the consequences of their decisions for the trip(s).
  2. Students are responsible for all trip-related expenses. The Faculty will not be liable for any expenses and costs incurred in this competition plus the overseas trip(s).
