2024 Value Investment Proposal Competition

2024 Value Investment Proposal Competition is calling for applications now.

Highlights of the Competition

Sponsored by Overlook Investments Ltd., Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance (IGEF) is organizing the fifth Value Investment Proposal Competition (“the Competition”) in February 2024. The competition aims to offer full-time undergraduate students a unique experience of learning value investment techniques from top industry experts and applying such knowledge in a competition setting.

Students are required to attend all 4 lectures and 2 practical workshops before submitting an investment proposal by April 19, 2024 for judging. Shortlisted teams will be invited to deliver a presentation of no longer than 15 minutes to the judging panel, followed by a Q&A session of around 10 minutes in early May 2024. Winning teams will receive cash prizes of up to HK$60,000.

Applications

Interested students should form a team of 2 to 4members (with at least one full-time undergraduate student currently enrolled at The Chinese University of Hong Kong) and the team leader should register at https://cloud.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/webform/view.php?id=13681681by Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Due to limited availability, application will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Successful applicants will be notified through email.
