About the Competition
Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge (“MGAC”) is an international business case competition organised by Maybank which aims to discover raw talents across the world. Held for the 7th consecutive year, this challenge is reaching out to 7 countries and the participating countries this year are Malaysia, United Kingdom, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
MGAC is a reality-driven and exhaustive talent selection platform specially designed to test candidates’ physical, mental, psychological and ethical limits. It is designed and developed by Global Maybank Apprentices (GMAs) to attract potential GMAs thereby establishing greater generational resonance and relevance.
Competition Format
Stage 1: Online Assessment
A link to an online assessment will be sent to applicants’ email after submitting an application.
Stage 2: Campus Level (May – June 2018)
The assessment will test various skills that is essential in a working environment so students can have a taste of what it takes to work in Maybank. Should students pass assessment at Campus Level, they will be shortlisted to go to the Global Finals.
Stage 3: Global Finals (August 2018)
All finalists from around the world will convene for 10 days in Kuala Lumpur for the final which is the most challenging leg of the competition. At this stage, students are already a step away to be offered to join the exclusive Global Maybank Apprentice Programme and other highly exclusive Maybank pipelines.

Remarks:
- The information collected through the online application is solely administered by Maybank. The Faculty shall not be held liable in the case that disputes, loss or any other situations arise.
- In case if any students/teams enter the Global Finals and are required to travel to Kuala Lumpur in August 2018, they are required to be responsible for their own safety while outside Hong Kong. They need to bear all expenses related to the trip, arrange and pay for their own flight tickets between Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur as well as insurance which covers the whole period of stay outside Hong Kong. Our Faculty will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in this competition.
