The Eureka Consulting Group Limited (ECG) is a non-profit student-led consulting social enterprise founded at the University of Hong Kong in 2014. Our mission is to offer consulting services to non-profit organizations, social enterprises and small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) which would otherwise be unable to afford professional consulting services.
Aside from ECG consultants receiving support and mentorship from experienced Deloitte advisors during their projects, they also have number opportunities to interact with accomplished alumni and industry experts coming from Oliver Wyman, Deloitte, PwC, and Capgemini.

Our consultants benefit from hands-on project experience under the mentorship of seasoned Deloitte consultants. Through our mentorship program, they have the chance to build lasting relationships while learning directly from top professionals in the consulting industry.
Solve real-world problems for organisations
At ECG, students gain hands-on consulting experience by addressing real challenges faced by real organizations. We collaborate with clients to research and solve their most pressing issues, which may involve business strategy, marketing, branding, fundraising, performance improvement, legal research, or technology. Our clients come from diverse industries, including fashion, legal, and food and beverage sectors. Past clients include Carbonbase, Clearbot, Deliveroo, Habitat for Humanity, Möet Hennessy Diageo, and The UN Development Programme.
Informative & Dynamic training sessions
We are dedicated to delivering strategic recommendations to our clients while fostering the growth and development of our consultants. We hold weekly training sessions on a diverse range of topics, providing our consultants with opportunities to network with distinguished alumni and engage with experts and guest speakers from companies like Alphasights, Chappuis Halder & Co., and Deloitte. Past session highlights have included insights from Dragonfly, Oliver Wyman, PwC, and Quinlan & Associates.

What do we look for in Student Consultants?
We seek candidates who excel in problem-solving, have strong interpersonal skills, and can structure and articulate their thoughts clearly. We value a willingness to learn and collaborate. No prior experience is required, and we welcome students from diverse variety of cultural and academic backgrounds.
Key Qualities:
- Proficiency in structured thinking to tackle ambiguous and complex problems
- A diverse background and an innovative thought process
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills; proficiency in languages other than English is a plus
- Leadership abilities to organize, motivate, and guide team members
- Keen attention to detail
- A willingness to learn (or familiarity with) consulting, business, finance, accounting, legal, and management concepts
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment
- The drive to perform to the best of your ability
Recruitment Timeline
Interested students should submit the application form here by 23:59 on September 12, 2024, once applications open in late August. After a review of applications, selected candidates will be called for a face-to-face group interview. Appropriate arrangements will be made for candidates who are yet to arrive in Hong Kong. Candidates may also be invited to a personal interview.
