Prof. Anna Wai-Kwan WONG
BFin(AMPB) Programme Director

 

Professor Anna WONG joined the HKU Business School in 2017 and is the first Programme Director for the Bachelor of Finance in Asset Management and Private Banking [BFin(AMPB)] programme and continues to remain as the current Programme Director. Before joining the academic field, Prof. Wong has a robust career in banking and finance. She has held senior positions in leading financial institutions including Citigroup, HSBC, Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas and Chase Manhattan Bank. Her experience spans across private banking, corporate banking, asset management and risk management. Prof. Wong brings forth her industry experience and industry connections to the University and to the students. Other than connecting students with industry practitioners through coffee chats, fireside chats, roundtable meetings and company visits, Prof. Wong is also instrumental in developing courses that are relevant to the industry and preparing students for their career in the finance field. New courses in ESG, Sustainable Investment, Family Office, Institutional Consulting, Venture Capital and Private Equity, Multi-asset Investment and Digital Assets have been added to the suite of finance courses of the HKU Business School. Prof. Wong is also serving the industry and community in different capacities. She is a Non-executive Director of the Insurance Authority, a Member of the Competition Commission and an Independent Non-executive Director of MTR Corporation Limited. Prof. Wong holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hong Kong, Master of Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Juris Doctor from the University of Hong Kong.

 

David Lee

Prof. David S. LEE
BFin(AMPB) Deputy Programme Director

 

Prof. David Lee is an award-winning teacher who is active in the areas of ethics, fintech, leadership, law, and corporate governance. He teaches across a range of different programmes at HKU Business School. Before joining HKU, Prof. Lee worked in asset management. He began his career at Goldman Sachs and has experience in law, consulting, and entrepreneurship. He continues to regularly advise organizations and leaders. Prof. Lee is a co-author of the first Asia-focused business ethics textbook, Business Ethics: Ethical Decision Making and Cases, An Asia Edition (Cengage Learning Asia, 2019). His work frequently appears in publications such as the Harvard Business Review, Nikkei Asia, and South China Morning Post. David earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, master’s degrees from Harvard and the LSE, completed additional graduate training at Cambridge, and received his B.A., cum laude, from Brigham Young University. In addition to his legal training, Prof. Lee is a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charterholder and a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
