Major in EDI (2026-2027 intake) is now open for application!
The EDI Major programme is designed to attract and cater to those select few highly-motivated students who are ready to leverage their talents and discover their hidden capabilities to soar to their highest creative and academic potentials. The EDI programme is equipping the students the capability to develop and manage cross-disciplinary innovation, backed by financial and economic industrial knowledge, thus would be suitable both as first major, or as complementary to other UG programmes if you are considering double or second major.
If you are admitted to this Major programme, we will work closely with you to design a custom-made course of study that suits your unique interests and capabilities. The ultimate objective of EDI Major programme is to allow you to explore and nurture your true potential in pursuit of a successful career and an enriching life. Information Session
Students who are interested to know more about the EDI Major are now invited to attend an online Information Session to be held on March 25, 2026 via Zoom. The session will be hosted by Professor Joseph Chan, EDI Programme Coordinator. Some current EDI students will join the session to share their own experience in the programme. Details of the session are as follows:

Application (2026-2027 Intake)
In the next academic year, we will admit only a select few students who are not only of high academic caliber, but who can also demonstrate that they are imbued with a creative sense of self-discovery and entrepreneurship, ready to make a small difference in the world.
If you are interested, to this end, you are invited to take time to fill out the application form, which is designed to assess whether or not the EDI Major programme matches your career objectives and life aspirations, and submit it to Ms. Vivian Lee by email to vianlsy@hku.hk by 23:59 on April 7, 2026 (Tuesday). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an online interview to be conducted via Zoom.
