The School organises the Asia Pacific Study Tour exclusively to all BBA (IBGM) Year 1 students in summer break of every academic year. Through a series of company visits and guests talks, the Study Tour offers an eye-opening experience allowing students to get a taste on how a developed economy continues to evolve from its traditional businesses to a new model, to gain first-hand knowledge from the industry leaders and to interact with high-caliber individuals as a way of expanding their personal connections.
All students receive substantial sponsorship and subsidy* for the Asia-Pacific Study Tour.
In June 2019, IBGM freshmen travelled to Singapore to explore its business landscape and the differences between Hong Kong and Singapore as the location of doing business. They visited rising startups, traditional family business and multinational corporations, and utilised what they had learnt in the final case competition.

The study tour has provided me with an opportunity to widen my horizon in terms of business creativity. I was particularly inspired by different business models that were not constraint within the tradition that I have known. The group project helped me to bond with my IBGM cohort. I have met a lot of new friends and worked with different classmates. The week has offered me learning opportunities that I could not have gotten in lectures.
