About the Programme
With support by the Ministry of Education, the “China Business and Economics” (CBE) Programme will be arranged in this coming summer break. CBE is a 11-day credit-bearing summer programme open to Year 1 to Year 3 FBE students. It aims to enhance students’ understanding of China business and economy by providing first-hand experience through living and learning in Shanghai.
Participants will enroll in a 6-credit HKU course BUSI2813 Field Experience in China Business Environment especially designed for CBE participants. Aside from classroom activities which will be held in Fudan University, the course includes site visits to leading enterprises in industries such as finance, tourism, manufacturing, IT and creative industries. There will also be guest talks by alumni, scholars and business leaders. Similar as other HKU courses, students are required to complete the work as assigned by the lecturer, group projects, presentations and final examination in order to receive a grade as well as the credits. This course will be counted as free elective which will be used to fulfill part of your graduation requirements.
