[Message from The HKU Investment Banking Club]

The HKU Investment Banking Club (IBC) is opening applications. Year 2 or above students with at least 1 finance-related internship AND a minimum GPA of 3.3 are welcome to apply.
 

Interested students should submit their application by 12:00 noon, January 19^th, 2025 for the 1^st Round Deadline.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with limited spots, so we encourage you to send in your application at your earliest convenience. 

Why We Are Here

• Same Experiences: We went through the same recruiting cycles. We understand how difficult the process can be and would like to help you avoid the mistakes we made.
• Respect for Meritocracy: We don’t think it’s necessary to pay tens of thousands of dollars on career institutions as what IBC can offer is the same, if not more. We want to help people who truly deserve to be helped.
• Giving Back: It is quite impossible for us to secure offers without receiving help from others. We are here because we have been supported by our seniors, and we hope to give back. 

Qualities We Look For

• Motivation: Motivated individuals who are dedicated to launch a career in investment banking, and will be active and committed members of the community.
• Give Back: Individuals who are willing to contribute and give back to IBC in the future.
• Excellence: Individuals who possess strong internship experience, academic results and communication skills.

Upon Joining, You are Expected to Show

• Proactivity: For example, arrange regular catch-up sessions with your mentor and update your progress, reach out to 3+ other mentors to get a better understanding of the industry, etc.
• Discipline: Attend trainings and revise afterwards.
• Connectivity: Initiate social events, invite other mentees and mentors to come.

Most importantly, help out and learn from each other, be willing to share your interview experiences and resources!

Application Procedures

Interested students must submit the application form HERE or scan the QR code below. After a review of applications, shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews with our mentors. Successful applicants will be notified of the results in due course.

Second Round Deadline: noon, January 26^th, 2025
