Entrepreneur Society HKU is now recruiting associates for the 22-23 academic year!
Entrepreneur Society is a society that fosters the entrepreneurial spirit among the HKU community and creates a platform for ideas to be shared, developed and realized through cross-faculty collaboration” Founded in 2019, we have hosted engaging activities with 300+ participants, supporting entrepreneurs-to-be with new ideas, networks, and design thinking skill sets.
Our key objectives include:
- Foster and arouse the entrepreneurial spirit in HKU
- Bring together a community with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Support entrepreneurs-to-be with new ideas, networks, and design thinking skill sets
Ultimately, we aim to spread the entrepreneurial spirit throughout the HKU campus, and bring entrepreneurship to the next level in HKU!
To help you understand the basic functions of each of the associate teams, here is a brief introduction of all of our teams:
ESo Ventures:
What you will do...
• Complete our 18-hour intensive venture capital workshop series led by industry experts
• Participate in the startup investment proposal pitch competition for a chance to intern at a top venture capital firm in Hong Kong
• Write investment proposals for angel investors
• Network with venture capitalists, angel, investors & startup founders
• Create and maintain ESo Ventures brand and ecosystem through marketing and media
Strategic Development Team:
What you will do…
• Manage our first ESo Networking Series @HKU with Masterclass and the Mix & Mingle Tournament
• Kickstart our first ESo Radio, showcasing 4+ episodes the team will have the chance to interview guest speakers, and industry experts on topics related to innovation for the betterment of our community
• Improve our ESo community through creative discussions on innovations past, present, and the future
• Collaborate amongst each other to solve issues/ innovate using design thinking principles
