Scotiabank International Case Competition 2018

Scotiabank International Case Competition (“SICC”) 2018, as organized by Ivey Business School, Western University, will be held in London, Ontario, Canada from March 21 - 24, 2018.

SICC 2018 provides an excellent platform for creating leaders that think globally. The competition explores the diverse perspectives of a global marketplace while participants experience the increasing challenges and complexities associated with international business.

SICC brings together approximately 12 top-ranked undergraduate schools from across the globe in the world’s largest and most diverse Undergraduate International Case Competition. Each team of 4 members will be given 15 hours to analyze and prepare a case. Following case preparation, each school presents their analysis to a panel of distinguished judges. The competition is more than simply academics, as participating teams are exposed to the complete Ivey lifestyle through extra-curricular activities hosted by Ivey’s undergraduate students. Evening activities allow participants to interact with each other on a social level, build global networks and take part in the complete Canadian University experience.

Sponsorship from Faculty
Cost of flight tickets and accommodation will be sponsored by the Faculty. For other expenses such as visa application fees (if any), local transportation, meals and entertainment activities which are not included in the official schedule of the competition, students need to bear the costs themselves.

Eligibility

  • FBE UG students who will NOT be on exchange in Semester 2 of 2017 - 18
  • Good command of English

Remarks:
Please bear in mind that participating in this case competition entails a significant commitment of time. Students will have to attend training sessions as arranged by the Faculty Advisor. Moreover, since this competition is held during regular semester period, participating students will need to apply for Leave of Absence. Please only apply if you are willing and able to make this commitment.
