Schneider Electric is inviting applications for Global Student Competition - Schneider Go Green 2020.
Schneider Electric is leading the Digital Transformation in Energy Management and Automation. Schneider Go Green is now celebrating its 10 years and looking for students who are willing to put their skills and ideas to the test. Students can have the chance to win a trip of a lifetime to Las Vegas at Schneider Electrics’ Global Innovation Summit.
Target students: Year 2 or above UG students
Team formation: Teams of 2 members, with at least 1 female member (Both members must study in the same country during the duration of the competition)

Format:
Teams are required to submit a case study illustrating their ideas for innovative energy management solutions in cities for 1 of the 4 business topics:
- Sustainability & Access to Energy
- Buildings of the Future
- Plants of the Future
- Grids of the Future
Submission deadline: February 3, 2020 (Monday)
Prizes & Awards:
- Global Winner - Fully sponsored trip to Boston - Visit Schneider Innovation HUB + Personalized MIT and Greentown lab tour
- Global Finalists (Top 8 teams) - Fully sponsored trip to Las Vegas for the Grand Finale
- Regional Finalist: The champion team in China will be awarded HKD 20,000 and certificates, the second team HKD 8,000 and certificates, and the third team CNY 6,000 and certificates.
- Women in Energy -1,000 USD for the best all-female team
- Internship opportunities to HK Finalists
- Mentorship/ networking opportunities with business experts for HK Finalists
- Offer tour to Innovation Hub @ HK Office for all teams

- Please note that student participants of this Competition are responsible for their own safety while outside Hong Kong (provided that the teams can advance to the Regional / Global rounds which are organized outside Hong Kong). Students must pay for all expenses related to the trip(s) and arrange for their own insurance which covers the whole period of stay outside Hong Kong. Our Faculty will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in this competition.
