Schneider Electric (http://www.schneider-electric.com/) will be organizing the Global Student Competition - Go Green in the City 2017 for FBE UG non-final year students.

About  Global Student Competition - Go Green in the City 2017
Go Green in the City 2017 is the 7th edition of the ultimate global student competition.

 

Target students: Business and engineering bachelor, master or MBA students from all over the world

 

Formation of team: Teams of 2, with at least 1 woman

 

Competition format:
Teams are required to submit a case study illustrating their ideas for innovative energy management solutions in cities for one of the four basic Schneider business challenge topics:

 

  1. Strategy & Technology
  2. Cooling solution energy efficiency
  3. Energy Storage & Efficiency
  4. Integrated urban energy systems
  5. Any unique idea for going green

The 100 semi-finalist teams selection will be announced in early June. The teams will have two months to work with a mentor from Schneider Electric in order to help them to create a synopsis and a video presentation of their idea. The 12 finalist teams will be revealed in early August and flown to Paris to compete in the grand finale in October. The winning team shall travel the world in VIP-style, visit Schneider Electric facilities and network with employees and high-level management. Members in the winning team will also receive job offers from Schneider Electric in their home countries.

Disclaimer: Please note that in case if any teams enter the grand finale and travel to Paris in October, team membersneed to be responsible for their own safety while outside Hong Kong. Theyneed to bear all expenses related to the trip, arrange for their own flight tickets between Hong Kong and Paris as well as insurance which covers the whole period of stay in Paris. Our Faculty will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in this competition.
