Personal Finance Ambassador Programme 2020/21

Personal Finance Ambassador Programme 2020/21, co-organized by HKEX Foundation Limited, Investor and Financial Education Council, and St. James’ Settlement, is inviting applications now.

Participating students, working in teams of 4 – 6, are required to develop their financial education projects under the theme “Keep Financially Fit” to enhance students’ financial literacy and raise awareness of good financial management.

Participating teams will attend an interview from Oct 13 – 20, 2020. Shortlisted teams will be trained as Personal Finance Ambassadors in a virtual Day Camp on Oct 31, 2020. After the camp, teams are required to revise and implement their team projects, with maximum $4,700 financial support, to promote financial education messages to HKU students and attend a training on “Storytelling for Presentation and Reflection”. 6 outstanding teams will be selected from the team project competition and invited to give a presentation at the Presentation and Award Ceremony in mid of January 2020. Apart from receiving an Ambassador certificate at the Ceremony, teams will have the chance to win the Excellent Financial Education Project Awards of up to $20,000 cash prizes.

Please refer to the poster and attachment for further programme details. All programme activities will be conducted in Cantonese. The activities as highlighted in grey in the timeline on P.3 are compulsory. For non-local students who do not understand Cantonese, translation should be arranged by their own teammates.

Interested students should complete the Enrollment Form with a financial education project proposal and return to serena.wong@sjs.org.hk by October 9, 2020.
