About the Organiser

Jane Street is a quantitative trading firm with a unique focus on technology and collaborative problem solving; with offices in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam, it is a trading firm that operates around the clock and around the globe, trading a wide range of financial products, including:  ETFs, Equities, Futures, Commodities, Options, Bonds, Currencies.

About the Competition

The Jane Street - Estimathon (HKG) is a mind bending mixture of math and trivia. In teams, Teams will attempt a number of Fermi problems ranging from totally trivial to positively Putnamesque. The Estimathon will take place on Thursday, September 23 and Tuesday, October 12 from 5pm to 6pm HKT.  As it is a team-based competition, all participants will be placed on a team randomly by Jane Street. The size of teams depends on the number of attendees.

Registration

For interested students, please complete the registration online hereon or before September 17, 2021 (Friday) 2pm HKT. The organiser will confirm attendees with further details on Monday, September 20. 

Please ensure to indicate your date preference for participating in this competition.  All attendees MUST have access to Zoom accounts and be willing and to use it for this event.
