Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) is inviting applications for the “HKICPA Business Case Competition 2023”.

 

The Competition provides a platform for young talents from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau to compete for attractive cash prizes and internship opportunities. The competition aims to encourage student participants to utilze their academic competencies and business knowledge to solve real-life challenges, exercise their current skillsets, cultivate their professional judgment and broaden their global perspectives. This year, the case focuses on Digital Entertainment Industry. Finalist teams will compete for prizes on November 25, 2023 in Hong Kong.

September 14, 2023

Technical webinar on "Game On"

(Topics include “Introduce case question”, “Ethics in business” and “How to develop a winning business proposal?”)

Online registration deadline

October 15, 2023 (before 11:59 p.m.)

Submission of 15-page written proposal

November 15, 2023

Announcement of 12 finalist teams (6 each from HK sub-degree and undergraduate teams)

Final round - Oral presentation

 

Students are invited to register for the program introduction webinar (see above details) to gain better understanding on the case. Interested students should form into teams of 3 to 4members, and the team leader should submit the online application formby Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

The HKICPA Business Case Competition 2023 is now open for entry!

 

For over 20 years, the competition has been connecting tertiary students with diverse educational backgrounds to test their academic competencies and business knowhow to solve real-life challenges and exercise their skillsets while simultaneously cultivating their professional judgement and enhancing their global perspectives.

 

This year, the competition's business case study focuses on the digital entertainment industry. Finalist teams will gather and compete for prizes on 25 November in Hong Kong.

 

To help you understand the case and learn how to showcase your innovative ideas, we have invited professionals to introduce the case questions and share their insights on the digital entertainment industry and business ethics via a live webinar on 14 September.

 

Act now! Put together a team of three to four members, and register online for the competition by 11 October 2023.
