FEP-UPORTO International Case Competition 2016

FEP-UPORTO International Case Competition 2016, as organized by University of Porto, will take place in Portugal from 16 – 22 Oct 2016.

Competition Details
FEP-UPORTO ICC is a 6-day competition in which students apply their knowledge and skills to a real-life business problem presented by a high representative of the company which the case is based on. After listening to the live case kick-off and a short Q&A, the teams will be given a written case study about that company and start their analysis.

The competition consists of 12 teams of 4 undergraduate business students and one Faculty Advisor. Teams will be divided into three divisions of four teams each. The three winning teams of each division will be in the finals.

Sponsorship from Faculty
Air-tickets and accommodation will be sponsored by the Faculty of Business and Economics. For other expenditures such as transportation, meals and entertainment activities which are not included in the official schedule of the competition, students need to bear the costs themselves.

  • FBE UG non-final year students
  • Good command of English

The CV should include your full name, your home university (i.e. HKU), contact details, education history, extra-curricular activities, community services, awards, scholarships, working experience, proof of English Language Proficiency and any other information considered useful for the application (if applicable). 

Interview Arrangement
Selection interviews will be arranged for shortlisted candidates. The top 4 students will be chosen to take part in this competition on behalf of our Faculty.

Remarks:
Please bear in mind that participating in this case competition entails a significant commitment of time. Students will have to attend training sessions as arranged by the Faculty Advisor. Moreover, since this competition is held during regular semester period, participating students will need to apply for Leave of Absence. Please apply only if you are willing and able to make this commitment.
