End Poverty Innovation Challenge 2020

End Poverty Innovation Challenge (EPIC) 2020 is calling for applications now.

EPIC is a virtual social venture startup competition featuring the most innovative start-ups from around the world focused on lifting the livelihoods of the people at the bottom of the pyramid. Participants will have access to free educational resources, virtual learning labs and networking. Social venture in its idea stage, research and development stage, prototype stage, or scaling stage are welcome to join the competition.

Competition Details

Target Participants: All community college, university, or recently graduated students (within the last 2-3 years) with a passion for social entrepreneurship and social impact

Team Requirement: No minimum or limit. Teams can consist of group members from various disciplines, different schools or different countries

Competition Format: Submission of short answers to questions on your social venture in the online form and 3-minute video via YouTube. Based on the submitted form and video, top 10 social ventures will be selected to enter the final round and present live via Zoom in a live competition on November 20, 2020 (2p.m. EST).

Awards: Cash prizes, 6 month mentorship programme from world class entrepreneurs via the Entrepreneur Futures Network​, and other prizes

Timeline

Submission deadline: September 30, 2020

Preliminary Round: October 30, 2020

Final Round: November 20, 2020
