Clarins Marketing Challenge

About the Competition
Established in 1954, Clarins is the No. 1 premium beauty brand in Europe with numerous customer recognitions and international beauty awards. Clarins aspires to find new ideas and fresh talent to revolutionize its marketing and promote the launch of its new skincare line focusing on young women. This challenge is open to all university students in Hong Kong with a talent for creativity and innovation.

Each team which contain 2-4 members should submit marketing strategy, with measurable KPIs, realistic milestones and a viable budget, to revolutionize Clarins in Asia. Judging panel will select Top 10 teams to enter the Mentoring Phase based on 5 areas, including originality, creativity, feasibility, relevance and presentation quality.

During the Mentoring Phase in late February to late March, you will have a chance to further develop your ideas and polish your proposal with the mentoring from Clarins senior management and marketing team.

5 Final teams will be selected based on the revised proposal in the Mentoring Phase (15 – 20 presentation slides with appendices) and advanced to the Grand Finale on April 12, 2019. Final teams will have the opportunity to pitch their marketing plan to Clarins senior management for the chance to implement it with the support of Clarins!

Prizes for the Winning Teams

First Place:                         Cash Prize of HK$50,000
Second Place:                   Cash Prize of HK$10,000
Third Place:                       Cash Prize of HK$5,000
Fourth & Fifth Place:       HK$1,000 worth of Clarins Product per team member

All selected teams for the Grand Finale will be offered an internship with Clarins (subject to HR approval) to execute their marketing plan. They will also benefit from mentoring from Clarins senior management while undergoing this task.

2) Submit marketing strategy for promoting the new product line (max. 10 presentation slides) and introduction of team members on or before 11:59 p.m., February 10, 2019.
