Alberta International Business Competition 2017 (Nov 12 - 19, 2017)

Alberta International Business Competition (AIBC) 2017, as organized by Alberta School of Business, the University of Alberta, will be held in Alberta, Canada from Nov 12 - 19, 2017.
 
AIBC aims to provide a professional event to challenge and incite personal growth within all participants, while also offering time to participants to enjoy the rugged beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Participating teams are required to work on one short format case and one long format case. Scores from both cases will be appropriately weighted and the top teams will advance to the final round of presentations, where they will once again present their solution to the long format case.

Sponsorship from Faculty
Cost of flight tickets and accommodation will be sponsored by the Faculty. For other expenses such as visa application fees (if any), local transportation, meals and entertainment activities which are not included in the official schedule of the competition, students need to bear the costs themselves.

Eligibility

  • FBE UG non-final year students of 2016-17 who will NOT be on exchange in Semester 1 of 2017 - 18
  • Good command of English

Remarks:
Please bear in mind that participating in this case competition entails a significant commitment of time. Students will have to attend training sessions as arranged by the Faculty Advisor. Moreover, since this competition is held during regular semester period, participating students will need to apply for Leave of Absence. Please only apply if you are willing and able to make this commitment.
