Deadline: 13 Sep 2021 HKT11:59 (Closed)
Location: Online

Desautels Faculty of Management of McGill University is inviting applications for its “5th McGill International Portfolio Challenge (MIPC)”.

MIPC aims to address societal issues which large, institutional investors play a critical role in. The cases center on solving these issues through innovative portfolio strategies that satisfy the needs of a broad range of stakeholders with competing interests. It is a unique opportunity for students around the world to develop and pitch sustainable finance solutions to dozens of professional institutional investors, all while competing for CAD$50,000 cash prizes.

MIPC will be hosted virtually due to COVID-19. The case topic for this year is “Ultra Low Yields”. Participating teams, comprised of up to 4 members per team, are required to submit a written proposal to the case by October 4, 2021. Top 25 proposals will be selected to enter the semi-final round. In the semi-final round, teams are required to revise the written report as necessary, prepare a slide deck, record a presentation of their proposal and attend a live Q&A session with judges. Top 5 teams will advance to the final round to present their proposals and respond to Q&A with a panel of high-caliber finalist judges in early November.
